How we do it
Wash and decontaminate
A full wash and decontamination to strip everything off the surface the coating needs to bond to.
Paint correct and prepare
We inspect the paint under studio lights and give it a single-step paint correction, included in the price, so the coating goes onto clean, refined paint.
Coat
Coatings are applied panel by panel, the way Gtechniq trains its accredited installers to do it.
Cure indoors
The car stays inside while the coatings cure, away from rain, dust and dew.
A coating won't stop stone chips, and it won't make a car scratch-proof. It makes paint harder to mark when washing, and much easier to keep clean.
Questions
What's the difference between C1 and Crystal Serum Light?
Both carry a 5 year warranty. C1 suits solid colours and matte or satin finishes; Crystal Serum Light suits metallic and pearl paints. We'll recommend one when we see the car.
Can matte or satin paint be coated?
Yes, with Gtechniq C1, which carries a 5 year warranty. It's the only coating we use on matte and satin paint.
What does EXOv5 add?
EXOv5 is a top coat that goes over the ceramic coating. It makes water bead and sheet off even faster and gives the paint a slicker feel.
Can my car be coated if it's not new?
Yes. A single-step paint correction is included with every paint coating. Older paint with deeper swirls or scratches may need more correction first, which we quote job by job. Send photos with your quote request and we'll tell you what it needs.
How do I look after it?
We'll go through aftercare when you pick the car up. The short version: hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo and keep it out of brush car washes.
